Estimation of Ground Thermal Properties of Shallow Coaxial Borehole Heat Exchanger Using an Improved Parameter Estimation Method

Ground thermal properties are prerequisites for designing the size of borehole heat exchanger. In this study, a 3D transfer model is developed to simulate response test (TRT) shallow coaxial exchanger (SCBHE), and effects ground on slope mean value inlet outlet fluid temperatures studied. The results show that strongly affected by conductivity slightly capacity, capacity only has small effect slope. Then, using difference between experimental calculated as objective function estimate conductivity, an improved parameter estimation method (PEM) proposed SCBHE simulated TRT data, it compared with direct method. estimated PEM accurate different properties, probably some errors especially or indicating much higher precision than can be applied estimating SCBHE.
