Estimation of Slip Rate and the Opak Fault Geometry Based on GNSS Measurement

Abstract GNSS observations are usually used in periodic deformation monitoring. The Opak fault, which was the Special Region of Yogyakarta, became a concern after 2006 earthquake. horizontal velocity values each observation station needed to estimate slip rate and locking depth fault. magnitude vector is computed by linear least square method, then translated into Sunda Block reference frame. creep fault assumption analyzing potential for earthquake region. done reducing using Euler pole it produces value on east component -6.08 5.25 mm/year while north -3.38 5.74 mm/year. Meanwhile, northern segment estimated around 3.5 10.5 mm/year, with obtained 1.1 8 km, southern 4 5.5 0.6 1.2 km. effect predominantly This case indicates that hazards smaller south than segment.
