چکیده

Background The aim of this study is to determine the normative data eye movements models for healthy individuals between ages 18-77. Method 76 subjects were included in 3 age groups as 18-44, 45-59, 60+. Neuropsychological assessment with five cognitive domains, was applied. EyeLink 1000 Plus used record and pro-saccade anti-saccade movement paradigms. Amplitude, latency, anticipatory saccades, express correct saccade response, corrected uncorrected responses analyzed. Result In antisaccade results, amplitude, saccade, significantly different (p<0.05). Significant difference also found prosaccade latency (p<0.001). 18-44 group, executive functions highly negatively correlated (r = -0.744, p 0.000), language meanly -0.514, -0.010). 45-59 a medium level negative correlation observed -0.501, 0.025). Language -0.515, 0.020) year group. 60+ attention -0.414, 0.021). -0.396, 0.027) weakly correlated. Conclusion Decline that occur aging might affect movements. relationship antisaccades our preliminary may attract evaluation cognition.

Saccadic eye movements and cognition.

Scanning of the visual scene is an important selective process in visual perception. In this article we argue that eye-movement data provide an excellent on-line indication of the cognitive processes underlying visual search and reading. We outline some recent advances from physiological investigations of saccadic eye-movement control before focusing on eye-movement behaviour in visual search a...

Saccadic movements in subjects with cerebellar disorders.

UNLABELLED Saccades are part of the electrooculography tests battery. The cerebellum has important connections with the brainstem and thalamic structures involved in the generation of saccades. AIM to study saccadic movements in subjects with cerebellar disorders. STUDY METHOD Prospective clinical study. MATERIALS AND METHODS 11 subjects with cerebellar disorders were selected, together w...

Saccadic Eye Movements in Depressed Elderly Patients

The primary aim of this study was to characterize oculomotor performances in elderly depressed patients. The second aim was to investigate whether cognitive inhibition measured by the antisaccade task was associated with a psychomotor retardation or rather with a more specific cognitive-motor inhibition deficit. Twenty patients with a major depressive disorder and forty-seven healthy subjects p...

Slow saccadic eye movements in Wilson's disease.

This is the first reported case of Wilson's disease where a global defect of saccadic eye movements has been documented by electro-oculography. The defect of rapid eye movements is discussed in relation to current anatomical, pathological, and experimental work relating to the descending frontobulbar saccadic eye movement system. It is suggested that the caudate nucleus pathology in Wilson's di...

Saccadic eye movements in schizophrenic patients.

The nature of saccadic abnormalities in schizophrenia was investigated in three different paradigms: (1) the visually guided saccade; (2) the antisaccade; and (3) the remembered saccade paradigm. Subjects comprised 14 schizophrenic patients and 14 normal volunteers. Deficits in the schizophrenic group were observed in the antisaccade and remembered saccade tasks, both of which were characterize...
