چکیده

Aim: In this study was evaluated the fracture resistance of endodontically treated maxillary premolars restored with different restorative materials. Methods: Sixty were submitted to same mesio-occlusal-distal cavity preparation, endodontic treatment and divided into 5 groups (n = 10): Coltosol Group – GCO calcium silicate material; Glass Ionomer Cement GGIC, Maxxion R; Modified GMGIC, Gold Label 2; Composite - GC, Z100, positive control group (GP) left unrestored. One remained intact (n=10) serving as negative (GN). Samples subjected testing by universal machine until occurred registered in newtons (N). Fracture pattern assessed described favorable or unfavorable. The results statistically analyzed 1-way analysis variance post hoc Tukey test significant statistical difference at P < 0.05. Results: Higher found for GC (1,128.35 ± 249.17), GMGIC (1,250.77 173.29), GN (1,277.22 433.44) (P .05). More fractures observed (6), (7), (7) Conclusion: Teeth composite modified GIC presented teeth. GGIC similar unrestored

Fracture resistance of endodontically treated premolars restored with different restorations

Purpose: To compare in vitro fracture resistance of endodontically treated premolars restored with bonded amalgam or resin composite. Materials and Methods: Fifty intact and caries-free premolars that had been extracted for orthodontic treatment were selected. All teeth were subjected to endodontic procedures and MOD cavity preparation. They were then randomly divided into the five following gr...

Fracture Resistance and Failure Mode of Endodontically Treated Premolars Restored with Different Adhesive Restorations

Introduction: The restoration of endodontically treated teeth is a topic that has been studied extensively but it is still a challenge for dental practitioners. The aim of this study was to evaluate fracture resistance, fracture patterns and fracture location of endodontically treated human maxillary premolars restored with direct and indirect composite resin and ceramic restoration. Methods: E...

Fracture Resistance of Endodontically Treated Maxillary Premolars Restored by Various Direct Filling Materials: An In Vitro Study

The aim of this study is to compare the effect of various restorative materials on fracture resistance in maxillary premolars. Premolars (n = 64) with no restorations or cracks were selected. MOD cavities were prepared considering the buccolingual width to be equal to half of the intercuspal distance. The specimens were randomly divided into 8 groups, 8 specimens each: group A intact teeth, gro...

An in vitro Evaluation of Fracture Resistance of endodontically treated Teeth with Different Restorative Materials.

AIMS The aim of the present study is to compare and assess the fracture resistance of root canal treated teeth with different restorative materials. MATERIALS AND METHODS The present in vitro study was carried out on seventy-five freshly extracted, noncarious, single-canal human lower-first premolars with similar anatomic characteristics. Teeth were randomly assigned to five groups with 15 te...

Comparison of the Fracture Resistance of Endodontically Treated Maxillary Incisors Restored with Six Different Post and Core Systems

Background and Aim: Different methods and materials are available for post and core (P&C) fabrication. We aimed to compare the fracture resistance and failure modes of endodontically treated maxillary central incisors restored with six different P&C systems. Materials and Methods: In this in-vitro study, after endodontic treatment and coronal preparation of 60 maxillary central incisors, six d...
