Evaluation of the feasibility and accuracy of remote mobile app-based self-reported atrial fibrillation risk factor assessment in patients with atrial fibrillation: TeleCheck-AF results

چکیده
Abstract Background Previously, we introduced the TeleCheck-AF approach, which is an on-demand mobile health (mHealth) infrastructure incorporating app-based heart rate and rhythm monitoring as well self-reported atrial fibrillation (AF) risk factor assessment to allow comprehensive remote AF management through teleconsultation. Herein, evaluated feasibility accuracy of in patients. Methods In our University Medical Center, 545 patients were managed within project by mHealth Patients asked fill a short 10-item questionnaire related factors. A reminder complete automatically popped-up after following four recordings. Furthermore, patient's medical history was retrieved from electronic records (EHRs). Results Out patients, 542 (99.4%) (217 female, age 67 (59–72) years) completed included this analysis. The number with diabetes mellitus similar EHRs (both 11.3%, p=1.000). There no significant difference who had transient ischemic attack (TIA)/cerebrovascular accident (CVA) artery disease (coronary peripheral disease) (11.4% vs 12.2%, p=0.608 14.8% 13.3%, p=0.366, respectively). Heart failure more frequently reported compared (33.4% 14.0%, p<0.001). total 260 (48.0%) diagnosis hypertension verified only 239 (44.1%) (p=0.044). CHA2DS2-VASc-score ≥2 between (64.2% 66.1%, p=0.275). 85.4%, TIA/CVA 78.9%, 60.9%, 78.8%, 89.3%. Conclusion Patient factors feasible may be useful for future digital trials Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: None.

Independent Effect of Digoxin in Preventing Atrial Fibrillation in High Risk Patients after CABG Surgery
Background: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is one of the most common arrhythmias after coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. AF can result in hemodynamic instability, thromboembolic events, increase the perioperative myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, stroke, more length of hospital stay (LOHS) and cost of treatment. The aim of this study was to evaluate the independent effect of...
متن کاملInvestigation of the relationship between pharmacological knowledge of anticoagulants with medication adherence in the elderly patients with atrial fibrillation
Introduction and Aim: In the elderly, the rate of adherence to the medication regimen and the rate of remembering how to correctly prescribe medication is low due to old age and memory loss, which leads to poor therapeutic results. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between anticoagulants knowledge and adherence to treatment in elderly cardiac patients with atrial fibrillat...
متن کاملAssessment of P-wave indices as atrial fibrillation predictors in psoriasis patients
Background: Psoriasis is a prevalent chronic T cell mediated inflammatory skin disorder. Recent studies have reported an increase in the incidence of arrhythmia in psoriasis patients who run an excessive risk of metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular diseases. P-wave dispersion (PWD) and duration are important electrocardiographic (ECG) markers employed to anticipate the risk of atrial arrhythmi...

We are presenting a case illustrating atrial fibrillation (AF) following the use of methylprednisolone in a patient with pelvic and femur fracture. A 48- year- old man with no significant past medical history, was admitted to the emergency department after injury in a car accident. He suffered a multiple bone fracture with chief complaints of pain and shortness of breath. He was transfer...

BACKGROUND Management decisions for thromboprophylaxis in atrial fibrillation need to balance the risk of stroke against serious hemorrhage. The objective of the present analysis is to compare the Hypertension, Abnormal renal/liver function, Stroke, Bleeding history or predisposition, Labile international normalized ratio, Elderly (>65 years), Drugs/alcohol concomitantly (HAS-BLED) score agains...
