چکیده
Abstract Background The aim of this study was to develop a standardized method reconstruct persons’ individual viral load (VL) courses determine suppression and duration viremia for the HIV care continuum in Germany using longitudinal cohort data. Methods We analyzed data from two large, multi-center German studies under direction Robert Koch Institute. included 1999 2018 all diagnosed people who initiated antiretroviral treatment (ART). developed model generating virtual VL values an course corresponding real measurements with maximum distance 180 days, considering ART status dynamics. If between > time defined as gap time. Additionally, we considered blips, which single detectable < 1000 copies/ml within days. Results A total 22,120 (164,691 person-years, PY) after initiation were analyses. proportion (VL 50 copies/ml) increased 34% 93% 2018. 200 47% 96% decreased 37% 3% fluctuated ranged 18 28%. An analysis first showed that 90% suppression, 5% 50- copies/ml. Conclusion provide estimating observed continuous remarkable increase suppression. Furthermore, notable those low-level therefore unlikely transmit HIV. Individual health risks drug resistance among are problematic, remains goal. In 2018, 93 copies/ml, respectively. Therefore, threshold reached UNAIDS 95 target since 2017.

The HIV Care Continuum: Changes over Time in Retention in Care and Viral Suppression
BACKGROUND The HIV care continuum (diagnosis, linkage to care, retention in care, receipt of antiretroviral therapy (ART), viral suppression) has been used to identify opportunities for improving the delivery of HIV care. Continuum steps are typically calculated in a conditional manner, with the number of persons completing the prior step serving as the base population for the next step. This a...
متن کاملTuberculosis among people living with HIV/AIDS in the German ClinSurv HIV Cohort: long-term incidence and risk factors
BACKGROUND Tuberculosis (TB) still presents a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA), including those on antiretroviral therapy. In this study, we aimed to determine the long-term incidence density rate (IDR) of TB and risk factors among PLWHA in relation to combination antiretroviral therapy (cART)-status. METHODS Data of PLWHA enrolled from 2001 t...
متن کاملClinical Outcomes of Tenofovir Versus Zidovudine-based Regimens Among People Living with HIV/AIDS: a Two Years Retrospective Cohort Study
BACKGROUND Tenofovir (TDF) based regimen was reported to have better immunological outcomes. Unfortunately, there is limited information regarding the immunologic outcome associated with this regimen in Ethiopia, as its routine utilization in this setting begun since 2013. METHODS A 2 years retrospective cohort study was conducted at Jimma University Specialized Hospital, 346 km Southwest of ...
متن کاملCognitive trajectories over 4 years among HIV-infected women with optimal viral suppression.
OBJECTIVE To determine whether persistent viral suppression alters cognitive trajectories among HIV-infected (HIV+) women on combination antiretroviral therapy (cART) by investigating performance longitudinally in uninfected (HIV-) and 3 groups of HIV+ women: those with consistent viral suppression after continuous cART use (VS), those without consistent virologic suppression despite continuous...
