Expansion of ATSC 3.0-Based Disaster Broadcasting Service for the Visually and Hearing Impaired

Disasters are now becoming commonplace and especially the vulnerable group such as disabled, elderly, children foreigners in a state of overlapping disasters. In this situation, ATSC 3.0-based UHDTV disaster information service for visually hearing impaired has been developing. This study focuses on demand data collected through in-depth interview with impaired. The analysis is very important to development process technology. results show that it essential link signals home-network, IoT, wearable devices, various assistive devices (hearing aid, smart light bulbs, warning light, etc.). outdoor space, must be connected public display media, digital signage, kiosk, screens bus or taxi. If communication aids equipped function can transmit receive information, will help minimize damage.
