چکیده
Although replacing biomass, (e.g., wood chips and pellets), with thinning herbaceous biomass is eco-friendly economically advantageous, their direct utilization in plant boilers associated ash-related challenges, including slagging fouling. The aim of this study to determine the effects ash removal treatment (ashless (ALB)) context solid fuel power boilers. Ash was removed via neutralization metal ions carboxylic acids contained ash. rate K, Na, Cl indicated by assessing total before after treatment, XRF analysis. Co-combustion sub-bituminous coal ALB-treated analyzed using a drop tube furnace revealed that NOx SOx values converged converge toward an approximate 10 ppm error, whereas Unburned Carbon (UBC) data did not exhibit specific trend. Factors fouling, (capture efficiency (CE), energy based growth (GRE)) were calculated. All samples without pretreatment exhibited V-shaped variation. Conversely, for ashless (ALB) samples, CE GRE gradually decreased. Thus, ALB technique may minimize fouling boiler, thus, reducing internal corrosion deposition enhancing economic operation

Electrodialytic removal of Cd from biomass combustion fly ash suspensions.
Due to relatively high concentrations of Cd, biomass combustion fly ashes often fail to meet Danish legislative requirements for recycling as fertilizer. In this study, the potential of using electrodialytic remediation for removal of Cd from four different biomass combustion fly ashes was investigated with the aim of enabling reuse of the ashes. The ashes originated from combustion of straw (t...

Fuel blending is a widely used approach in biomass combustion, particularly for feedstocks with low calorific value and high moisture content. In on-site sanitation technologies, fuel blending is proposed as a pre-treatment requirement to reduce moisture levels and improve the physiochemical properties of raw faeces prior to drying. This study investigates the co-combustion performance of wood ...
متن کاملOverview of Coal Ash Deposition in Boilers
The management of coal ash in utility boilers continues to be one of the most important fuel property considerations in the design and operation of commercial boilers. The behavior of mineral matter in coal can significantly influence furnace sizing, heat transfer surface placement, and convection pass tube spacing. Ironically, many of the more reactive, low rank U. S. coals must have larger fu...
متن کاملAsh Deposition in Biomass Combustion or Co-Firing for Power/Heat Generation
This paper presents a concise overview of ash deposition in combustion or co-firing of biomass (woody biomass, agricultural residues, peat, etc.) with other fuels for power/heat generation. In this article, the following five research aspects on biomass combustion ash deposition are reviewed and discussed: influence of biomass fuel characteristics, deposit-related challenges, ash deposition mon...
