چکیده

Abstract Subsurface defects can be detected by the pulsed thermography (PT) technique analysing raw thermal data with application of different post-processing algorithms. In this regard, methods, based on one-dimensional models, are used in literature to estimate depth and size defects. Two most established methods signal reconstruction (TSR) phase (PPT) These latter require a careful set up testing parameters such as frame rate, truncation window size, energy density obtain an accurate estimation both depths sizes Even if some works have already investigated issue defect characterization, there few which correct procedures were deeply explained, above all for real components The aim work is propose new empirical procedure using particular principal component (PCT) algorithm. proposed experimental observation that exists linear correlation between contrasts relative aspect ratios. way, means master specimen, calibration curve obtained considering suitable analysed data. Then, been retrieved imposing threshold criteria. quite general, it also tested other Different tests carried out two materials, aluminium glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) then has applied validated simulated (flat bottom holes)

a comparison of teachers and supervisors, with respect to teacher efficacy and reflection

supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...

A hybrid pulsed thermography processing technique for the depth estimation of subsurface defects combining TSR and PPT

A hybrid approach, combining thermographic signal reconstruction (TSR) and pulsed phase thermography (PPT), is proposed and tested for the depth estimation of subsurface defects from pulsed thermographic data. First, TSR is used to obtain the polynomial coefficients from raw data. A synthetic thermogram sequence is then reconstructed from the obtained coefficients. Finally, quantitative PPT is ...

Quantitative Subsurface Defect Evaluation by Pulsed Phase Thermography : Depth Retrieval with the Phase

Pulsed Phase Thermography (PPT) is a NonDestructive Testing and Evaluation (NDT&E) technique based on the Fourier Transform that can be thought as being the link between Pulsed Thermography, for which data acquisition is fast and simple; and Lock-In thermography, for which depth retrieval is straightforward. A new depth inversion technique using the phase obtained by PPT is proposed. The techni...

Relation between defect depth and standard thermal contrast on the steel surface in pulsed thermography

The work is devoted to experimental determination of the diameter and the depth of simulated subsurface defects in steel using pulse thermography (PT). The simulated defects had a form of flat-bottom holes of diameter 1.0-5.0 mm and depth 0.3–1.5 mm. The defect diameter has been reconstructed on the basic of analysis of the rate of temperature decrease on the surface of tested specimen after it...
