Experimental Studies on Fabrication and Thermal Characterization of Shape Memory Polymer Composites with Nanofillers

Shape memory polymers (SMP) have piqued the interest of research and development sector due to their new features immense potential. The polymer matrix epoxy was changed using varied weight percentages aliphatic monomer-neopentyl glycol diglycidyl ether (NGDE), optimal percentage NGDE identified. NGDE-CNT are 0, 0.3, 0.6, 0.9, 1.2, 1.5. use nanofillers such as carbon nanotubes (CNT) has been promoted improve heat conductivity composites. thermal shape enhanced through addition varying quantities CNT filler. Mechanical characterizations tensile testing, Young’s modulus, impact strength, related tests form recovery fixity, time were also investigated. From investigational outcomes, loading into is 15%, maximum strength attains at 1.2 wt. percent CNT.
