The work was an experimental study of natural heat transfer from heated cylinders fixed in variable shape air duct, made Pyrex glass. Two finned mild iron, outer diameter (12) mm, inner (10) rectangle fins dimensions (70*40) mm. angle two walls the duct changed to five angles α:(0°,3°,5°,10°,15°) with vertical make converge shape. were inside at top, centre and bottom. by supply power constant flux (88,177,390 680) W/m2. done Rayleigh numbers (15x103 14x104). carried free convection atmosphere air. results found for top location, value Nusselt number increased 7.8% ԛ•= 88 W/ m2 when increase 0° 5°, 20% 680 15°.For 25 % 3°, 21 10°.For bottom 35 3°,and 30 increasing 10°.The best location exchanger bottom, 15°.
