چکیده
This paper aims to perform experimental validation of RF–plasma interaction behaviors for the purposes wave transmission and reflection. Wave reflection from plasma is interest as it finds applications in pulse compression RF polarizer-based systems. Simulations are performed using a combination Magic3D COMSOL multiphysics characterize plasma–wave discharge tube properties. The goal generate with characteristics that wholly reflect incident electromagnetic wave. A glass inner diameter 22 mm length 100 mm, 12 brass electrodes, fabricated generation. Argon-based DC glow sustained at 500 volts pressure 3.8 Torr. Plasma density calculated be 2.529×1019 m−3, corresponding frequency 7.18 GHz. Due this higher frequency, 3 GHz reflected, measured through S-parameter measurements network analyzer. Off on states correspond S11=−40 dB S11=−13 dB, which show reflection, respectively. When column ignited, reflected has phase difference 180∘.

Complex dynamics of a dc glow discharge tube: Experimental modeling and stability diagrams
We report a detailed experimental study of the complex behavior of a dc low-pressure plasma discharge tube of the type commonly used in commercial illuminated signs, in a microfluidic chip recently proposed for visible analog computing, and other practical devices. Our experiments reveal a clear quasiperiodicity route to chaos, the two competing frequencies being the relaxation frequency and th...
متن کاملExperimental Study of Low-Pressure Nitrogen Dielectric Barrier Discharge
The electrical and spectral characteristics of a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) are experimentally investigated in a sealed off coaxial cylinder filled with nitrogen at a pressure of 10 mbar. The discharge is a transient diffused glow at low frequency alternating voltage (60 Hz) and changes to a filamentary mode at high frequency alternating voltage (35 kHz). In case of pulsed voltage, the ...
متن کاملDouble Langmuir probe measurement of plasma parameters in a dc glow discharge
In this paper, plasma main characteristics such as electron mean temperature, electron number density, and oscillation frequency have been measured experimentally using the double Langmuir probe diagnostic system. In our experiment, the plasma was generated by applying the low pressure dc glow discharge in several common gases. The experimental results indicated the highest plasma density and o...
متن کاملForce interaction of high pressure glow discharge with fluid flow for active separation control
Radio frequency based discharges at atmospheric pressures are the focus of increased interest in aerodynamics because of the wide range of potential applications including, specifically, actuation in flows at moderate speeds. Recent literature describing promising experimental observations, especially on separation control, has spurred efforts in the development of parallel theoretical modeling...
متن کاملDust particle charging in DC glow discharge plasma
Dust particles charging in a stratified positive column of a low-pressure DC glow discharge was investigated theoretically. The presented model consists of (i) previously developed 1D selfconsistent model for discharge parameters on the tube axis; (ii) ambipolar approximation for radial electric potential distribution and the assumption that the electron energy distribution function in radial d...
