Experimental Study on Mechanical Properties of Half-Grouted Sleeve Connections with Grouted Defects

Prefabricated concrete structures are driving the development of green buildings, and connection between prefabricated components is main factor affecting safety performance these structures. Grouted sleeve technology can effectively improve precast component connections. In process grouting operation, grouted sleeves affected by construction environment often have various defects. this work, to study influence defects on mechanical properties half-grouted steel connections, 33 specimens (10 groups defective (three in each group) 1 standard were prepared subjected uniaxial tensile tests. The failure modes, load–displacement curves, stress distribution, other studied. Sleeves with different simulated, simulation results compared experimental results. showed that modes rebar fracture pull-out. strengthening stage, exhibited a large slip. critical length for mode transition was 2.5 d (defect length). middle uniform had most unfavorable effect ultimate bearing capacity specimens. transfer blocked end numerical consistent results, thus verifying accuracy feasibility method practical applications.
