چکیده
This article describes the experimental and numerical evaluation of dynamic behaviour Cascalheira bridge, located on Northern Line Portuguese railway network. The bridge has a short span formed by two filler-beam half-decks, each one accommodating track. study includes development finite element model in ANSYS® software, as well situ characterization tests structure, namely ambient vibration tests, for estimation natural frequencies, modes shapes damping coefficients, test under traffic, particularly passage Alfa Pendular train. coefficients’ was performed based Prony method, which proved effective situations where classical methods (e.g., decrement logarithm) tend to fail, case mode with closed typically happens first vertical bending torsion modes. updating carried out using an iterative methodology genetic algorithm, allowing upgrade agreement between modal parameters. Particular attention given ballast degradation over longitudinal joint its influence global behavior this type double-deck bridges. Finally, validation comparing acceleration response structure traffic actions, means analyses considering vehicle-bridge interaction including track irregularities, ones obtained actions. results calibrated showed better accelerations evaluated several measurement points both half-decks. In process stiffness supports, demonstrated be relevant accuracy effectiveness models.

Optimization of Double Track Railway Bridge Superstructure Using FEM
The purpose of this paper is to optimize truss bridges with a span of 50 m and 60 m long at different heights while they are subjected to wind and railway loading. Later the bridges are compared according to the most important analysis outcome such as deflection in order to identify the optimum bridge height. The analysis and design of double track bridge for modified broad gauge loading is don...
متن کاملSimulation of a Geothermal Bridge Deck Anti-icing System and Experimental Validation
The design of heated bridge deck anti-icing systems requires assessment of long-term performance under expected future weather conditions. A method of simulating the performance of such a system has been developed. The system studied in this work uses a bridge deck with embedded hydronic tubing and a ground-coupled heat pump system with vertical borehole heat exchangers as a heat source. The mo...

This paper presents a finite element method (FEM) framework for the dynamic analysis of coupled vehicle—bridge systems under nearfield /far-field ground motions. A train car with two bogies is assumed to be represented sufficiently by a discrete, rigid multi-body system with thirty-eight degrees of freedoms (DOFs). The normal Hertzian contact theory and the tangential Kalker linear theory modif...
متن کاملDetection of Bridge Deck
Delamination is probably the most serious form of deterioration I which is commonly found in britlge decks. It ultimately results in large scale spalling necessitating costly repairs. This type of failure is believed to be caused chiefly from salt induced corrosion of the reinforcing steel. An instrument designed to detect delamination, and tests conducted to val:iAate its perf'ormance, are .br...
متن کاملInfluences of Track Structure, Geometry and Traffic Parameters on Railway Deterioration
The roles of the several parameters that influences railway track deterioration most, are examined in this research with a view to make railway track maintenance more effective and cost efficient. The results presented are based on a comprehensive study of railway track degradation on super structure, sub-structure and geometrical aspects. The changes in TQI (Track Quality Index), the track set...
