Exploring Lecturers’ Standpoints in Composing Digital Fiction and Students’ Multimodal Literacy Level

Multimodality which encourages the combination of text, image, sound, and videos could be varied from class to class. Multimodal literacy as a new dimension in 21st century has emerged critical skill that EFL students must develop, given its role source meaning communication. The purpose this study was identify level students’ multimodal lecturers’ standpoints on literacy. This conducted both quantitatively qualitatively involved 71 who took creative writing subject an English education program one state university South Sumatera. data were collected by distributing questionnaire Bulut et al. (2015) interviewing 3 lecturers taught subject. Descriptive statistics one-way ANOVA used determine mean, standard deviation differences terms gender classes with different lecturer; qualitative thematically analyzed categorize themes. results indicated categorized high mean each aspect questionnaire: 4.22, 4.11 3.6 respectively. There no between male female students, instructions did not influence level.. Finally, perceived positively .
