Exploring stabilizer formulations for light-induced yellowing of polystyrene by high-throughput experimentation and machine learning

In this study, a high-throughput experimental protocol was established for yellowing inhibition of transparent plastics on the basis solution film casting microplates and ultraviolet/visible (UV/Vis) spectroscopic evaluation using microplate reader. A combination genetic algorithm realized large-scale exploration stabilizer formulations that consist commercially available hindered amine stabilizers UV absorbers, etc. The found were highly effective in inhibiting photo-induced polystyrene, compared to most efficient single at fixed concentration. obtained data, which corresponded seven years aging (when sequentially acquired), analyzed validated based decision tree classification, force-directed network visualization, so on. formulation design guideline successfully derived it is essential combine as many are complementary synergistic with each other possible.
