Many recent tensor network algorithms apply unitary operators to parts of a in order reduce entanglement. However, many the previously used iterative minimize entanglement can be slow. We introduce an approximate, fast, and simple algorithm optimize disentangling tensors. Our is asymptotically faster than previous often results residual entropy that within 10 40% minimum. For certain input tensors, our returns optimal solution. When order-4 tensors with equal bond dimensions, achieves spectrum where nearly half singular values are zero. further validate by showing it efficiently disentangle random 1D states qubits.
