چکیده
The availability of the propulsion system is primary importance to ensure safe and stable operations marine crafts, both during transit station keeping. Diminished efficiency could impair ability a vessel maintain speed course possibly lead drifting craft. waterjet’s affected by several factors such as cavitation, erosion, vibration noise emission. This paper addresses design fault-tolerant thrust allocation algorithm able seaworthiness twin-waterjet craft in presence severe power loss one waterjets. proposed solution combines load torque estimator with an optimization routine that accounts for limits when waterjet subject loss. prevents faults from quickly escalating into complete failure due excessive demands. Two simulated case studies including zig-zag path following sideways movements are presented demonstrate effectiveness fault tolerant control strategy.

Fault-Tolerant Process Allocation with Load Balancingy
Process allocation is important for fault-tolerant multi-computer systems since it directly aaects the performance and dependability of the system. In this paper , we consider load-balancing process allocation for fault-tolerant systems that balances the load before as well as after faults start to degrade the performance of the system. We show two schemes to tolerate multiple faults in the pas...
متن کاملRobust Control of an Underactuated Surface Vessel with Thruster Dynamics
In this paper a continuous periodic time-varying feedback law is proposed that exponentially stabilizes both the position and orientation of a surface vessel having only two actuators. To this end, a stability result for a class of homogeneous time-periodic systems is presented. The exponential stability provided by the proposed feedback law does not depend on exact knowledge of the model param...
متن کاملConstrained Fault-Tolerant Resource Allocation
We follow [18,25] and give a series of improved results for the Constrained Fault-Tolerant Resource Allocation (FTRA) problem. In FTRA, we are given a set of sites containing facilities as resources, and a set of clients consuming these resources. Specifically, each site i is allowed to open at most Ri facilities with cost fi for each opened facility. Each client j requires an allocation of rj ...

متن کاملFault-Tolerant Control of a Nonlinear Process with Input Constraints
A Fault-Tolerant Control (FTC) methodology has been presented for nonlinear processes being imposed by control input constraints. The proposed methodology uses a combination of Feedback Linearization and Model Predictive Control (FLMPC) schemes. The resulting constraints in the transformed process will be dependent on the actual evolving states, making their incorporation in the de...
