Biodiversitas 24: 3091-3098. Mangrove-associated-endophytic are recognized as a considerable source bioactive compounds in drug discovery. This study evaluated the antimicrobial activity toxicity Four fungal isolates, documented SU-1-4, were obtained. In addition, isolate SU-3 was further identified Hypoxylon mangrovei according to comparison internal transcribed spacer region. Each fermented on solid rice medium, then extracted with ethyl acetate at end fermentation. After that, crude extracts partitioned between aqueous methanol n-hexane, methanolic phases subjected phytochemical screening assays. Preliminary suggested presence alkaloids, triterpenoids, steroids all extracts. Among them, H. extract showed most pronounced effects minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values 125 250 µg.mL-1 towards Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538 epidermidis 12228. Meanwhile, assay employing brine shrimp lethality test revealed that toxic, LC50 ranging 173.09 227.76 µg.mL-1.
