چکیده
Broussonetia papyrifera has increasingly been used as a high-quality feedstuff for ruminants due to its advantageous characteristics. The storage temperature can influence the fermentation quality of silage; however, effect on B. leaves (BPL) silage not reported. In present study, and bacterial community BPL, stored at 15 °C 30 °C, were investigated during ensiling (day 3, 7, 14, 30) with or without Lactobacillus plantarum strain (LP) added. pH coliform bacteria counts significantly lower in than (p < 0.01), while lactic acid content increased 0.05). Adding LP decreased dry matter loss, pH, count, ammonia-N butyric contents °C. relative abundance increased, diversity when was During silage, high gas carbon dioxide (CO2) production, lowest CO2 production detected conclusion, adding storing it could effectively improve BPL silage.

Genetic diversity of Broussonetia papyrifera populations in southwest China.
Broussonetia papyrifera is an important native tree species with high economic value in southwest China. Its resources are drastically reduced because of over-harvesting and habitat fragmentation. In this study, 17 natural populations of B. papyrifera were analyzed using inter-simple sequence repeat (ISSR) markers to assess the genetic diversity and population structure. In total, 100 bands wer...
متن کاملPentose Fermentation by Lactobacillus Plantarum
Extracts of Lactobucillus plantarum derived from cells grown on Larabinose contain an active isomerase, which converts L-arabinose to Lribulose (1, 2), and a ribulokinase, which catalyzes the formation of L-ribulose &phosphate (3,4). Such extracts also catalyze the conversion of L-ribulose 5-phosphate to D-xylulose 5-phosphate, which has been shown to be the key intermediate in pentose fermenta...
متن کاملThe effect of Lactobacillus buchneri 40788 or Lactobacillus plantarum MTD-1 on the fermentation and aerobic stability of corn silages ensiled at two dry matter contents.
Whole-plant corn was harvested at 33 (normal) and 41% (moderately high) dry matter (DM) and ensiled in quadruplicate 20-L laboratory silos to investigate the effects of Lactobacillus buchneri 40788 (LB) or L. plantarum MTD-1 (LP) alone, or in combination, on the fermentation and aerobic stability of the resulting silage. Aerobic stability was defined as the amount of time after exposure to air ...

This study was carried out to determine the effects of Lactobacillus plantarum on chemical compositionand nutritive value of whole-plant corn (WPC) ensiled at different stages of maturity. Based on local routinepractice, WPC was harvested at three stages of maturity as follows: (1) two weeks before routine harvestingtime; (2), one week before routine harvesting time and (3), routine harvesting ...
