The process of the nucleation and evolution ferromagnetic phase in thin Fe49Rh51 film on a MgO substrate near transition from antiferromagnetic (AFM) to (FM) state was comprehensively characterized by means measurements temperature, time magnetic field dependences magnetization. observed relaxation processes magnetization indicate FM surface its further growth towards film-substrate interface upon heating or applying external field. confirmation verification were carried out methods vibrational magnetometry force microscopy. A phenomenological model described films based Bean-Rodbell Kolmogorov-Johnson-Mehl-Avrami (KJMA) models is proposed. article presents new approach for interpreting Temperature First Order Reversal Curve (TFORC) diagrams comparative analysis coercivity squareness coefficient temperature peak position diagram.

متن کاملSuppression of low-temperature ferromagnetic phase in ultrathin FeRh films
Highly ordered B2 FeRh films with sharp magnetic transitions from the antiferromagnetic (AF) to ferromagnetic (FM) states were prepared on thermally oxidized Si wafers with thicknesses as low as 10 nm. It is found that the transition temperature increases as the thickness decreases from 80 nm to 15 nm, and then decreases from 15 nm to 10 nm. While the ratio of the residual magnetization to the ...
متن کاملHysteresis and the dynamic phase transition in thin ferromagnetic films.
Hysteresis and the nonequilibrium dynamic phase transition in thin magnetic films subject to an oscillatory external field have been studied by Monte Carlo simulation. The model under investigation is a classical Heisenberg spin system with a bilinear exchange anisotropy Lambda in a planar thin film geometry with competing surface fields. The film exhibits a nonequilibrium phase transition betw...
متن کاملPhase Relaxation of Electrons in Disordered Thin Ferromagnetic Films
The phase relaxation caused by scattering off spin wave excitations in disordered ferromagnetic films is considered. In the case that the spin wave spectrum is gapped, it is shown that the corresponding phase relaxation rate at temperatures above the gap follows a linear dependence in both two and three dimensions, similar to what has been found previously for clean systems. In the absence of t...
متن کاملFerromagnetic quantum phase transition in Sr1−xCaxRuO3 thin films
The ferromagnetic quantum phase transition in the perovskite ruthenate Sr1−xCaxRuO3 is studied by lowtemperature magnetization and electrical resistivity measurements on thin films. The films were grown epitaxially on SrTiO3 substrates using metalorganic aerosol deposition and characterized by X-ray diffraction and room temperature scanning tunneling microscopy. High residual resistivity ratios...
