چکیده
Purpose : Finite element modeling (FEM) of the stress-strain state five-storey frame building with girderless floors and basement caused by progressive collapse. Methodology FEM is performed in MicroFe software removal medium column using limit equilibrium theory. Development three-dimensional model on a rigid base. Research findings It shown that collapse impossible after experimental building.

Investigation of the Progressive Collapse Potential in Steel Buildings with Composite Floor System
Abnormal loads due to natural events, implementation errors and some other issues can lead to occurrence of progressive collapse in structures. Most of the past researches consist of 2- Dimensional (2D) models of steel frames without consideration of the floor system effects, which reduces the accuracy of the modeling. While employing a 3-Dimensional (3D) model and modeling the concrete slab sy...
متن کاملFinite Element Modeling of Strain Rate and Grain Size Dependency in Nanocrystalline Materials
Nanocrystalline materials show a higher strain-rate sensitivity in contrast to the conventional coarse-grained materials and a different grain size dependency. To explain these phenomenon, a finite element model is constructed that considers both grain interior and grain boundary deformation of nanocrystalline materials. The model consist of several crystalline cores with different orientations...
متن کاملEffect of Structural Height on the Location of Key Element in Progressive Collapse of RC Structures
After the failure of an element in a structure, its loads should be redistributed on the other elements and the structure must provide some new paths to carry the load. If such new load paths are not provided, collapse progression will begin in the structure. As the beginning of progressive collapse in a structure is more sensitive to the missing of an element, the location of that element is m...
متن کاملSubproblem Methodology for Progressive Finite Element Modeling of Transformers
Model refinements of transformers are performed via a subproblem finite element method. A complete problem is split into subproblems with overlapping meshes, to allow a progressive modeling from ideal to real flux tubes, 1-D to 2-D to 3-D models, linear to nonlinear materials, perfect to real materials, wired to volume inductors, and homogenized to fine models of cores and coils, with any coupl...
متن کاملModeling of Tactile Detection of an Artery in a Soft Tissue by Finite Element Analysis
Nowadays, one of the main problems encountered in minimally invasive surgery and telesurgery is the detection of arteries in tissue. In this study, for the first time, tactile detection of an artery in tissue and distinguishing it from the tumor has been modeled by finite element method. In this modeling, three 2D models of tissue have been created: tissue, tissue including a tumor, and tissue ...
