Finnish teachers’ views on co‐teaching

Co-teaching has become a well-known way of working among Finnish teachers in recent years. Teachers’ collaboration is becoming increasingly important light the rising number diverse students regular classes. In an ideal co-teaching context, collaborate as equals, recognise and respect each other’s skills competencies, strengthen support other. this study, we examine teachers’ views on investigate which background factors explain concerning benefits challenges co-teaching. The data obtained from basic education (N = 694) responses to online questionnaire are analysed quantitatively. results show some differences views. Subject perceive more than class special teachers. Class fewest challenges. Although generally interested them co-teach regularly, they also report several barriers its application. explanatory gender, experiences, amount per week teacher.
