First and second-order contributions to surface interpolation
Comparisons of 1st- and 2nd-order stereopsis have typically employed isolated, or local, narrow-band targets. While these experiments have revealed a great deal about the distinction between these two types of processing, such stimuli are rare in the natural environment. Instead, local disparity signals are more likely to be part of extended surfaces that very smoothly in depth. The aim of the ...
متن کاملOn the second order first zagreb index
Inspired by the chemical applications of higher-order connectivity index (or Randic index), we consider here the higher-order first Zagreb index of a molecular graph. In this paper, we study the linear regression analysis of the second order first Zagreb index with the entropy and acentric factor of an octane isomers. The linear model, based on the second order first Zag...

متن کاملInterpolation for First Order S5
An interpolation theorem holds for many standard modal logics, but first order S5 is a prominent example of a logic for which it fails. In this paper it is shown that a first order S5 interpolation theorem can be proved provided the logic is extended to contain propositional quantifiers. A proper statement of the result involves some subtleties, but this is the essence of it.
متن کاملCraig Interpolation and Access Interpolation with Clausal First-Order Tableaux
We show methods to extract Craig-Lyndon interpolants and access interpolants from clausal first-order tableaux as produced by automated first-order theorem provers based on model elimination, the connection method, the hyper tableau calculus and instance-based methods in general. Smullyan introduced an elegant method for interpolant extraction from “non-clausal” first-order tableaux. We transfe...
