چکیده
High-throughput sequencing (HTS) of citrus indicator hosts, inoculated from psorosis-like diseased samples, revealed the presence first South African variant virus A (CiVA). This was identified in Italy and is second member Coguvirus genus within order Bunyavirales. The sequence variants CiVA shares 95.55% (RNA1) 94.82% (RNA2) nucleotide identity with Italian sequence. discovery orchards indicates global distribution further investigations are required to determine association disease symptoms.

متن کاملThe p23 Protein from Citrus tristeza virus is a Pathogenicity Determinant in Transgenic Citrus Hosts
The 23 kDa protein (p23) coded by the 3 -terminal gene of Citrus tristeza virus (CTV), is a RNA-binding protein that contains a motif rich in cysteine and histidine residues in the core of a putative zinc-finger domain. Transgenic Mexican lime plants were generated carrying a p23 transgene, or a truncated version thereof, under the control of the Cauliflower mosaic virus (CaMV) 35S promoter. Ec...
متن کاملEpidemiology of Citrus tristeza virus in nursery blocks of Citrus macrophylla and evaluation of control measures
The control of Citrus tristeza virus (CTV), the causal agent of tristeza disease, is essential to guarantee a productive citrus industry. The specific features of a nursery block make the control of the natural spread of viruses transmitted by vectors more difficult. Thus, the knowledge of the epidemiology of CTV in nursery blocks is basic to the design control strategies of the disease. Two ex...
