Fixing Nondeterminism in Large Discrete-Event Knowledge

نویسندگان

چکیده

Discrete-event knowledge (DEK) consists in a variety of automaton-based data structures which are generated by knowledge-based and engineering systems, including intelligent diagnosis systems. Model-based methods for discrete-event systems (DESs) typically supported large automata that allow the efficient generation candidate diagnoses when DES is being operated. However, DEK may involve determinization step, where nondeterministic finite automaton (NFA) transformed into an equivalent deterministic (DFA) means classical Subset Construction algorithm. When this performed online NFA large, engine slow down to such extent entire task jeopardized. This why novel algorithm proposed, called Quick Construction, which, instead generating from scratch DFA, removes nondeterminism operating directly on NFA. way, larger smaller portion involved, faster will be over Construction. Massive experimentation has confirmed result empirically.

Recent Developments in Discrete Event Systems

This article is a brief exposure of the process approach to a newly emerging area called "discrete event systems" in control theory and summarizes some of the recent developments in this area. Discrete event systems is an area of research that is developing within the interstices of computer, control and communication sciences. The basic direction of research addresses issues in the analysis an...

Knowledge acquisition for discrete event

Knowledge acquisition for an understanding of discrete event simulation systems is a diicult task. Machine Learning has been investigated to help in the knowledge acquisition process. Our approach involves consultation with a domain expert, and the use of discrete event simulation models and machine learning as tools for the intelligent analysis of simulated systems. Current methods for the ana...

Partial Observation in Distributed Supervisory Control of Discrete-Event Systems

Distributed supervisory control is a method to synthesize local controllers in discrete-eventsystems with a systematic observation of the plant. Some works were reported on extending this methodby which local controllers are constructed so that observation properties are preserved from monolithic todistributed supervisory control, in an up-down approach. In this paper, we find circumstances in ...

Decentralized prognosis of fuzzy discrete-event systems

This paper gives a decentralized approach to the problem of failure prognosis in the framework of fuzzy discrete event systems (FDES). A notion of co-predictability is formalized for decentralized prognosis of FDESs, where several local agents with fuzzy observability rather than crisp observability are used in the prognosis task. An FDES is said to be co-predictable if each faulty event can be...

Fixing of Cycle Slips in Dual-Frequency GPS Phase Observables using Discrete Wavelet Transforms

The occurrence of cycle slips is a major limiting factor for achievement of sub-decimeter accuracy in positioning with GPS (Global Positioning System). In the past, several authors introduced a method based on different combinations of GPS data together with Kalman filter to solve the problem of the cycle slips. In this paper the same philosophy is used but with discrete wavelet transforms. For...
