Floating photovoltaic site selection using fuzzy rough numbers based LAAW and RAFSI model

This study presents a quantitative methodology for Floating Photovoltaic (FPV) power plant site selection in Turkey using Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and fuzzy sets, which is one of the Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) methods. In this study, we propose new hybrid framework combines rough number (FRN) based decision making model including LAAW (Logarithmic Additive Assessment Weight coefficients) RAFSI (Ranking Alternatives through Functional mapping criterion subintervals into Single Interval). The applied handling uncertainty inaccuracy experts’ opinions evaluation process. Firstly, FRN method used to determine weighting coefficients criteria. Secondly, rank alternatives. proposed feasible system Southern part Turkey. Out five alternative sites, Manavgat - Antalya concluded be most suitable site, second-best Göksun Karaman. results show rationality applicability model.
