Flood risk analysis using gis-based analytical hierarchy process: a case study of Bitlis Province

چکیده
Abstract Floods are the most common natural disasters on earth. Population growth with global warming and climate changes increases impact of floods people every year. Combating such as is possible effective disaster management. An management can only be a comprehensive risk analysis. Flood risks depend many factors precipitation, flow, earth slope, soil structure, population density. A holistic flood analysis considering all these will provide more This study focuses an assessment hazard in Bitlis province Turkey using analytical hierarchy method which multi-parameter modeling technique. zones were mapped according to weight selected factor by geographic information system. It concluded that while especially south-western regions exposed high due stream density slope rugged nature this region restrict mainly vicinity low elevation streams regions.

متن کاملInvestigation of Gully Erosion by using the Analytical Hierarchy Process Model Case study: Roudbar, Gilan Province, Iran
Gully erosion is one of the geomophological phenomenon that causes numerous losses to farmland, rangeland, roads, and increased sediment rate. Recognition of the causes and modeling gully erosion has an important role in watershed management, which aids in preventing the destruction of lands in sustainable development. In this research, a gully erosion map was prepared with the use of airp...
