Focal beam structuring by triple mixing of optical vortex lattices

Abstract On-demand generation and reshaping of arrays focused laser beams is highly desired in many areas science technology. In this work, we present a versatile approach for beam structuring the focal plane lens by triple mixing square and/or hexagonal optical vortex lattices (OVLs). artificial far field input Gaussian reshaped into ordered bright with flat phase profiles. This remarkable, since peaks are surrounded hundreds OVs their dark cores two-dimensional dislocations. Numerical simulations experimental evidences shown, including broad discussion some possible scenarios such mixing: square-shaped OVLs, as well two combined cases square-hexagonal-hexagonal square-square-hexagonal OVLs. The particular ordering distributions OV on used spatial light modulators found to affect orientation structures ruled OVL.
