Framework for Remote Sensing and Modelling of Lithium-Brine Deposit Formation

چکیده

The demand for “green” metals such as lithium is increasing the world works to reduce its reliance on fossil fuels. More than half of world’s resources are contained in lithium-brine deposits, including salt flats, or “salars”, Andean region South America, also known Lithium Triangle. genesis deposits largely driven by leaching from source rocks watersheds, transport via groundwater systems salars, and evaporative concentration salars. goal this research create a consistent seamless methodology tracking mass watershed greatest nucleus. area interest around Bolivia’s Salar de Uyuni, largest flat. We explore how Li-brine form, where water solute come from, brines formed, abstraction affects balance inside salar. To support entire system, open-source Earth observation (EO) data analysed. found that constructing flexible repeatable workflow, question reaches Uyuni can be addressed. work demonstrated importance flow river network highlighted need main supplying salar with both inflow mass.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Exploration of Kahang porphyry copper deposit using advanced integration of geological, remote sensing, geochemical, and magnetics data

The purpose of mineral exploration is to find ore deposits. The main aim of this work is to use the fuzzy inference system to integrate the exploration layers including the geological, remote sensing, geochemical, and magnetic data. The studied area was the porphyry copper deposit of the Kahang area in the preliminary stage of exploration. Overlaying of rock units and tectonic layers were used ...

A framework for the modelling of uncertainty between remote sensing and geographic information systems

Ž . This paper addresses the modelling of uncertainty in an integrated geographic information system GIS , specifically focused on the fusion of activities between GIS and remote sensing. As data is abstracted from its ‘raw’ form to the higher representations used by GIS, it passes through a number of different conceptual data models via a series of transformations. Each model and each transfor...

Remote sensing signatures: Measurements, modelling and applications

Signatures from five remote sensing domains—spectral, spatial, angular, temporal and polarization—provide the basis for the description and discrimination of Earth surfaces and their variability. These signatures have been used for a wide range of terrestrial applications. In this chapter, we review the measurements, modelling and applications of these signatures with emphasis on recent advance...

DETERMINATION OF SENSOR LOCATIONS FOR MONITORING OF ORCHARDS PARAMETERS USING REMOTE SENSING AND GIS

Optimal management of the farm and increasing production efficiency can be achieved by collecting accurate and appropriate information from the fields. The aim of this study is to determine the location of soil moisture sensors in pistachio orchards. For this purpose, initial information was obtained using satellite image processing. Then, using clustering method the information was clustered t...
