چکیده

Abstract The aim of this study was to develop an analytical method determine free concentrations Europium (Eu(III)) in natural waters. Europium(III) solution detected using cathodic stripping voltammetry after complexation with N -nitroso- -phenylhydroxylamine (cupferron). Optimization parameters allowed us detect nanomolar levels Eu(III) solution. Free measured the Donnan membrane technique which a (the “donor”, containing various ligands) is separated from ligand-free “acceptor”) by cation-exchange membrane. This allows only non-colloidal cationic species pass through it, and adequate time equilibrium reached between both compartments. Total concentration can then be quantified acceptor related sample. Due its high valency, tends adsorb strongly In order physicochemical conditions minimizing adsorption, we analyzed solutions different Ca(II) (as background ion) concentrations. Results showed that 100 mM were necessary make adsorption onto negligible. optimized setup used quantify Eu(III)-dissolved organic matter

Determination of free Zn2+ concentration in synthetic and natural samples with AGNES (Absence of Gradients and Nernstian Equilibrium Stripping) and DMT (Donnan Membrane Technique).

The determination of free Zn(2+) ion concentration is a key in the study of environmental systems like river water and soils, due to its impact on bioavailability and toxicity. AGNES (Absence of Gradients and Nernstian Equilibrium Stripping) and DMT (Donnan Membrane Technique) are emerging techniques suited for the determination of free heavy metal concentrations, especially in the case of Zn(2...

Attomole catechins determination by capillary liquid chromatography with electrochemical detection.

Attomole quantities of catechins were determined by a capillary liquid chromatography system with electrochemical detection (CLC-ECD) and the system is applied to the determination of catechins in human plasma. The eight catechins: catechin (C), epicatechin (EC), gallocatechin (GC), epigallocatechin (EGC), catechin gallate (Cg), epicatechin gallate (ECg), gallocatechin gallate (GCg), and epigal...

Separation and determination of homovanillic acid and vanillylmandelic acid by capillary electrophoresis with electrochemical detection

A method of separation and determination of homovanillic acid (HVA) and vanillylmandelic acid (VMA) was developed based on capillary zone electrophoresis/amperometric detection with high sensitivity, good resolution and selectivity. In order to achieve complete separation and good response, several factors including pH, buffer concentration, separation voltage, detection potential and the lengt...
