An experiment was conducted with 125 germplasm accessions and five check varieties of Oat (Avena sativa L.) in augmented design during rabi, 2019-20. Nineteen quantitative traits were studied for the assessment genetic variability. Sufficient variation exhibited by most studied. The highest values GCV PCV observed leaf:stem ratio seed yield per plant. High heritability high advance as cent mean 1000 weight ratio. combined is indication additive gene action selection based on this would be more effective. skewness value Oats ranged from -0.5 to 0.5 which indicate that these are normally distributed except days 50% flowering, flag leaf length, number tillers plant, dry plant leaf: stem Plant height, width, culm diameter, matter negative kurtosis (platykurtic).
