Frobenius fields for elliptic curves
Let E/Q be an elliptic curve over the field of rational numbers, with EndQ̄(E) = Z. Let K be a fixed imaginary quadratic field over Q, and x a positive real number. For each prime p of good reduction for E, let πp(E) be a root of the characteristic polynomial of the Frobenius endomorphism of E over the finite field Fp. Let ΠE(K;x) be the number of primes p ≤ x such that the field extension Q(πp(...
متن کاملSkew-Frobenius Maps on Hyperelliptic Curves
The hyperelliptic curve cryptosystems take most of the time for computing a scalar multiplication kD of an element D in the Jacobian JC of a hyperelliptic curve C for an integer k. Therefore its efficiency depends on the scalar multiplications. Among the fast scalar multiplication methods, there is a method using a Frobenius map. It uses a Jacobian defined over an extension field of the definit...
متن کاملAverage Frobenius Distribution of Elliptic Curves
The Sato-Tate conjecture asserts that given an elliptic curve without complex multiplication, the primes whose Frobenius elements have their trace in a given interval (2α √ p, 2β √ p) have density given by 2 π R β α √ 1− t2 dt. We prove that this conjecture is true on average in a more general setting.
متن کاملSemistability of Frobenius direct images over curves
Let X be a smooth projective curve of genus g ≥ 2 defined over an algebraically closed field k of characteristic p > 0. Given a semistable vector bundle E over X , we show that its direct image F∗E under the Frobenius map F of X is again semistable. We deduce a numerical characterization of the stable rank-p vector bundles F∗L, where L is a line bundle over X .
متن کاملQuantization of Classical Curves
We discuss the relation between quantum curves (defined as solutions of equation [P,Q] = ~, where P,Q are ordinary differential operators) and classical curves. We illustrate this relation for the case of quantum curve that corresponds to the (p, q)minimal model coupled to 2D gravity.
