Fully Dynamic High–Resolution Model for Dispersion of Icelandic Airborne Mineral Dust

نویسندگان

چکیده

Icelandic topsoil sediments, as confirmed by numerous scientific studies, represent the largest and most important European source of mineral dust. Strong winds, connected with intensive cyclonic circulation in North Atlantic, induce intense emissions dust from local sources all year carry away these fine aerosol particles for thousands kilometers. Various impacts airborne on air quality, human health, transportation, climate marine ecosystems motivated us to design a fully dynamic coupled atmosphere–dust numerical modelling system order simulate, predict quantify process including: measurements specification over Iceland. In this study, we used Dust Regional Atmospheric Model (DREAM) improved high resolution implemented spatially variable particle size distribution, snow cover soil wetness. Three case studies short- long-range transport were selected evaluate model performance. Results demonstrated model’s capability forecast major features, such timing, horizontal vertical distribution processes. This can be an operational forecasting system, but also reliable tool assessing environmental impacts.

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

the use of appropriate madm model for ranking the vendors of mci equipments using fuzzy approach

abstract nowadays, the science of decision making has been paid to more attention due to the complexity of the problems of suppliers selection. as known, one of the efficient tools in economic and human resources development is the extension of communication networks in developing countries. so, the proper selection of suppliers of tc equipments is of concern very much. in this study, a ...

A dynamic model of optimal creditor dispersion

Borrowing from multiple creditors exposes firms to liquidation risks due to coordination problems among creditors, but it also improves the firms’ repayment incentives, thereby increasing pledgeability. Based on this trade-off, I develop a dynamic debt rollover model to analyze the evolution of creditor dispersion. Consistent with empirical findings, firms optimally increase the number of credi...
