چکیده

Introduction: Increased incidence of road traffic accidents, natural disasters, and industrial accidents claim most human mortality morbidity. These injuries commonly involve long bones, especially the tibia due to its subcutaneous location. Tibial diaphyseal fractures are common, followed by proximal tibial fractures. The treatment changed dramatically in 1969 following study Reudi Ailgower (1) where 75% patients after internal fixation were pain free had good functional outcome at 4 years follow up. widespread use led an increase major complications like malunions (42%), superficial infections (20%), nonunion (18%), osteomyelitis (17%). This a search for newer techniques which lesser soft tissue damage yielded better results. Amongst these was biological minimally invasive percutaneous plate osteosynthesis (MIPPO). In 1990’s Krettek et al popularized Minimally Invasive Percuntaneous Plate Osteosynthesis (MIPPO) technique conventional plates placed through small incision slid tunnel. Biologically friendly plating continues remain popular today. compares MIPPO extra articular fractures, terms outcome, union rate time various associated with each group. Aims objectives 1. To evaluate clinical Extra-articular Proximal fracture treated osteosynthesis. 2. range motion knee joint postoperatively. 3. complications, if any fixation. Inclusion criteria Patients closed extra-articular age more than 18 years. Both male female patients. exclusion Fracture dislocation Pathological More 6 weeks Old untreated 4. No other lower limb 5. Age 80 Results observation: this we have taken up data 30 25 males 5 females. Most between 31-50 age. RTA highest reason Majority discharged within 10 post-operative days. Five developed increased their hospital stay upto 16 On there only one case out patients, all 29 united radiologically clinically. Total evaluated postoperatively thoroughly using Knee. Society Score showed 24 (80%) excellent (20%) objective society score. 23 (76.6%) excellent, (16.66%) 2 patient (6.66%) poor fair Conclusion: study, found that gave minimal stripping healing surgical site wound. There delayed directly tells us how superior is comparison incisions.

Outcome of Distal Both Bone Leg Fractures Fixed by Intramedulary Nail for Fibula & MIPPO in Tibia

Background:  Fractures of the distal third of the tibia are mostly associated with a fibular fracture that often requires fixation. The preferred treatment of distal tibial fracture is the minimally invasive percutaneous plate osteosynthesis  (MIPPO) procedure. However, there are no clear cut guidelines on fixation of the fibular fracture and currently most orthopedic surgeons use a plate osteo...

Union Following Biological and Rigid Fixations of Distal Tibia Extra-articular Fractures

Background: Distal tibia fractures are among the most common bony injuries, with a significant rate of nonunion anddelayed union. There are multiple methods for the management of distal tibia fractures. Among the plating methods, there are bridge plating and compression plating techniques. There is still a lack of evidence about whether one methodhas a higher rate of union than...

Assessment of the treatment outcome of closed extra-articular distal tibia fracture: IM nailing vs plating

Abstract   Background: The tibial diaphyseal fractures are the most common type of long   bone fractures encountered by most orthopedic surgeons. In accordance with descriptive indices of tibia fractures on the basis of their location in the bone, distal tibia   fractures have the second incidence of all tibia fractures after the middle tibia fractures.   The purpose of the study was to asses...

The functional outcome of surgically treated unstable pelvic ring fractures by open reduction, internal fixation

Abstract Background: Unstable Pelvic fracture, a result of high energy antero-posterior compression injury, has been managed based on internal fixation and open reduction. The mode of fixation in Unstable Pelvic fracture has, however, been a subject of controversy and some authors have proposed a need to address the issue of partial breach of the pelvic ring elements in these injuries. This st...
