چکیده

Background:Tibial fractures are the most common long bone fracture, with approximately 25% being open. The majority of open tibial result from a high velocity trauma, such as motorcycle accident, or low energy, torsional type injury, skiing. They complex to treat because lack soft tissue coverage and blood supply shaft. Aim: To determine functional outcome hybridillizarov technique in patients plateau Study Design: Descriptive case series. Place Study: Orthopedics Surgery Department, Jinnah Hospital, Lahore. Duration was carried out over period six months 28-07-2021 28-01-2022 Methods: All 73 fulfilling selection Schatzker's V VI were enrolled. Informed consent demographic information recorded. evaluated for injuries, haemodynamically stabilized. Bone grafting minimal internal fixation cc screws done severely comminuted fractures. results measured by Rasmussen’s knee score (as per operational definition). Results: Distribution done, it showed that 20(27.4%) excellent outcome, 41(56.2%) good 7(9.6%) fair 5(6.8%) poor. Conclusion: Based on our results, use hybrid illizarov treatment is safe effective terms rates complication results. Keywords: Functional Tibia Hybrid ilizarov.

Treatment of complex tibial plateau fractures using Ilizarov technique.

Complex tibial plateau fractures are most commonly caused by high-energy trauma and they are often associated with severe soft tissue injuries that can frequently result in severe complications. Ilizarov external circular fixation is an ideal method of treatment for high- energy fractures of the tibial plateau when extensive soft tissue dissection and internal fixation are contraindicated. Our ...

Tibial Plateau Fractures in Elderly Patients

Tibial plateau fractures are common in the elderly population following a low-energy mechanism. Initial evaluation includes an assessment of the soft tissues and surrounding ligaments. Most fractures involve articular depression leading to joint incongruity. Treatment of these fractures may be complicated by osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, and medical comorbidities. Optimal reconstruction should ...

High energy tibial plateau fractures treated with hybrid external fixation

Management of high energy intra-articular fractures of the proximal tibia, associated with marked soft-tissue trauma, can be challenging, requiring the combination of accurate reduction and minimal invasive techniques. The purpose of this study was to evaluate whether minimal intervention and hybrid external fixation of such fractures using the Orthofix system provide an acceptable treatment ou...
