Fusion of Gabor filter and steerable pyramid to improve iris recognition system

<span>Iris recognition system is a technique of identifying people using their distinctive features. Generally, this used in security, because it offers good reliability. Different researchers have proposed new methods for iris to increase its effectiveness. In paper, we propose method based on Gabor filter and steerable pyramid decomposition. It’s an efficient accurate linear multi-scale, multi-orientation image decomposition capture texture details image. At first, the segmented, normalized decomposed by method. Multiple sub-band are generated applying input High frequency ignored eliminate noise accuracy. The was validated CASIA-v4 (Chinese Academy Sciences Institute Automation), IITD (</span><span>Indian Technology Delhi) UPOL (University Phoenix Online) databases. performance better than most literature. algorithm provides accuracy 99.99%. False acceptance rate (FAR), equal error (EER) genuine (GAR) also been improved.</span>
