چکیده
Quantum confinenement and manipulation of charge carriers are critical for achieving devices practical quantum technologies. The interplay between electron spin valley, as well the possibility to address their states electrically optically, make two-dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenides an emerging platform development devices. In this work, we fabricate based on heterostructures layered 2D materials, in which realize gate-controlled tungsten diselenide (WSe2) hole dots. We discuss observed mesoscopic transport features related emergence dots WSe2 device channel, compare them a theoretical model.

Gate-controlled charge transfer in Si:P double quantum dots.
We present low temperature charge sensing measurements of nanoscale phosphorus-implanted double dots in silicon. The implanted phosphorus forms two 50 nm diameter islands with source and drain leads, which are separated from each other by undoped silicon tunnel barriers. Occupancy of the dots is controlled by surface gates and monitored using an aluminium single-electron transistor which is cap...

We examine a graphene quantum dot formed by combining an electric and a uniform magnetic field. The electric field creates a smooth quantum well potential while the magnetic field induces an exponential tail to the dot states. The states peak in the well and the electrostatic barrier region as a result of the Klein tunneling effect. Coupling between dot states which peak in different regions ca...

A noninteracting quantum-dot arrays side coupled to a quantum wire is studied. Transport through the quantum wire is investigated by using a noninteracting Anderson tunneling Hamiltonian. The conductance at zero temperature develops an oscillating band with resonances and antiresonances due to constructive and destructive interference in the ballistic channel, respectively. Moreover, we have fo...
