Generalized Circuit Averaging Technique for Two-Switch PWM DC-DC Converters in CCM

Design of DC-DC converters like Cuk and SEPIC, which are fourth-order converters, play a vital role in the design electric vehicle (EV) charging systems drivers for LED. These possess unique feature input current being continuous due to presence an inductor series with supply voltage. In present work, generalized approach obtaining frequency response transfer function duty cycle output voltage (Gvd) operating conduction mode (CCM) having two switches is proposed. A practical converter SEPIC CCM were selected their analyses open loop studied using LTSpice simulation tool. The behavior currents under variable ESR’s (equivalent resistance) inductors was studied. It observed that Gvd these unstable. Hence, appropriate controller stabilize system achieve proper gain margin phase closed-loop operation required.
