Geometry of information structures, strategic measures and associated stochastic control topologies

In many areas of applied mathematics, decentralization information is a ubiquitous attribute affecting how to approach stochastic optimization, decision and estimation, or control problem. this review article, we present general formulation structures under probability theoretic geometric formulation. We define structures, place various topologies on them, study closedness, compactness convexity properties the strategic measures induced by decentralized control/decision policies varying degrees relaxations with regard access private common randomness. Ultimately, existence tight approximation results for optimal decision/control policies. discuss lower bounding techniques, through convex programs ranging from classically realizable non-realizable (such as quantum non-signaling) relaxations. For each these, establish closedness also hierarchy correlation structures. As further theme, introduce strategies defined independent but which determine whether entail utility in arriving at existence, compactness, convexification results. These approaches, term topology approach, lead complementary approximations upper bounds decision, problems.
