Global phase diagram of disordered higher-order Weyl semimetals

We study the disorder-induced phase transition of higher-order Weyl semimetals (HOWSMs) and fate topological features disordered HOWSMs. obtain a global diagram HOWSMs according to scaling theory Anderson localization. Specifically, from semimetal (WSM) HOWSM is uncovered, distinguishing traditional WSMs. Further, we confirm robustness Weyl-nodes for Interestingly, unique properties show different behaviors: (i) quantized quadrupole moment corresponding charge hinge states are fragile weak disorder; (ii) moderate stability which enables feasibility in experimental observation. Our deepens understanding nature paves possible way characterization such experiments.
