GPS spoofing detection via crowd-sourced information for connected vehicles

چکیده

Modern vehicular systems rely on the Global Positioning System (GPS) technology to provide accurate and timely services. However, GPS has been proved be characterized by an intrinsic insecure design, thus being subject several security attacks. Current solutions can reliably detect spoofing attacks leveraging physical features of received signals or resorting multiple antennas. these techniques cannot deployed when properties accessed, which is most general case for commercial receivers. Alternative in literature cross-check signal with information coming from additional sources. such proposals are typically limited a single source, rarely supported experimental results, do not insights impact parameters, as detection accuracy, time, false-positives, robustness malicious information. To overcome cited limitations, this paper, we propose innovative approach, combined crowd-sourced mobile cellular infrastructure WiFi networks Our analysis leverages extensive dataset, available online research community, gathered driving around car urban, suburban, rural scenarios, 5 h covering more than 196 km. solution allows tunable tradeoff between delay false positive; instance, attack approximately 6 s, only WiFi, while increases 30 s using network, still achieving positive probability strictly less 0.01. We also show limitations trade-offs our terms minimum The data adopted work publicly released allow results replicability foster further highlighted directions.

Editorial Bias in Crowd-Sourced Political Information

The Internet has dramatically expanded citizens' access to and ability to engage with political information. On many websites, any user can contribute and edit "crowd-sourced" information about important political figures. One of the most prominent examples of crowd-sourced information on the Internet is Wikipedia, a free and open encyclopedia created and edited entirely by users, and one of th...

Crowd - sourced

While many Learning Content Management Systems are available, the collaborative, community-based creation of rich e-learning content is still not sufficiently well supported. Few attempts have been made to apply crowd-sourcing and wiki-approaches for the creation of elearning content. In this article, we showcase SlideWiki -an Open Courseware Authoring platform supporting the crowdsourced creat...

Crowd-GPS-Sec: Leveraging Crowdsourcing to Detect and Localize GPS Spoofing Attacks

The aviation industry’s increasing reliance on GPS to facilitate navigation and air traffic monitoring opens new attack vectors with the purpose of hijacking UAVs or interfering with air safety. We propose Crowd-GPS-Sec to detect and localize GPS spoofing attacks on moving airborne targets such as UAVs or commercial airliners. Unlike previous attempts to secure GPS, Crowd-GPS-Sec neither requir...

Representativeness and Diversity in Photos via Crowd-Sourced Media Analysis

In this paper we address the problem of user-adapted image retrieval. First, we provide a survey of the performance of the existing social media retrieval platforms and highlight their limitations. In this context, we propose a hybrid, two step, machine and human automated media analysis approach. It aims to improve retrieval relevance by selecting a small number of representative and diverse i...

Active Learning for Crowd-Sourced Databases

Crowd-sourcing has become a popular means of acquiring labeled data for many tasks where humans are more accurate than computers, such as image tagging, entity resolution, or sentiment analysis. However, due to the time and cost of human labor, solutions that solely rely on crowd-sourcing are often limited to small datasets (i.e., a few thousand items). This paper proposes algorithms for integr...
