چکیده
Abstract. Pore pressure is crucial in triggering debris slides and flows. Here we present measurements of groundwater pore temperature recorded by a piezometer 1.6 m below the surface on slope susceptible to flows western Norway. One largest oscillations data collected over 4 years coincided with flow event that occurred during storm Hilde 15–16 November 2013. More than 100 landslides were registered storm. Precipitation totaled about 80–100 mm 24 h, locally up 129 mm, an additional trigger factor for was rapid rise air caused snowmelt. In studied fraction precipitation first fell as snow. On 15 November, level hillslope rose 10 cm/h reached 44 cm surface. At same time, from 0 ∘C 8 ∘C, dropped 1.5 ∘C. The probably late evening when its peak. Measurements period 2010–2013 show 2013 not exceptional. Storm Dagmar 25–26 December 2011 similar but did any failures. suggest heavy rainstorms critical state landslide be triggered short time – 4–5 h.

This study tested multiple hydrologic mechanisms to explain snowpack dynamics in extreme rain-on-snow floods, which occur widely in the temperate and polar regions. We examined 26, 10 day large storm events over the period 1992–2012 in the H.J. Andrews Experimental Forest in western Oregon, using statistical analyses (regression, ANOVA, and wavelet coherence) of hourly snowmelt lysimeter, air a...
متن کاملCorrelated Event-by-Event Fluctuations of Flow Harmonics
We report the measurements of correlations between event-by-event fluctuations of amplitudes of anisotropic flow harmonics in nucleus-nucleus collisions, obtained for the first time using a new analysis method based on multiparticle cumulants in mixed harmonics. This novel method is robust against systematic biases originating from nonflow effects and by construction any dependence on symmetry ...
متن کاملEvent by Event fluctuations and Inclusive Distributions
Event-by-event observables are compared with conventional inclusive measurements. We find that moments of event-by-event fluctuations are closely related to inclusive correlation functions. Implications for upcomming heavy ion experiments are discussed. 1. It is now widely recognized that studies of event-by-event fluctuations observed in high energy multi-particle reactions may become an impor...
متن کاملEvent by event Net Charge Fluctuations
We present analyses of event-by-event dynamical net charge fluctuations measured in130 and 200 GeV Au Au collisions with the STAR detector. The dynamical net charge fluctuations are evaluated using the ν+−,dyn observable. Dynamical fluctuations measured in Au Au collisions at 130 and 200 GeV are finite, and exceed charge conservation limits. They deviate from a perfect 1/N scaling and provide a...
متن کاملOverview of Event-by-event Fluctuations *
With the advent of large acceptance detectors it became possible to observe not one but tens or even hundreds of particles produced in a single collision of relativistic nuclei. Such a multi-particle state constitutes an event corresponding to a single high-energy collision. Event-by-event analysis is potentially a powerful technique to study relativistic heavy-ion collisions, as magnitude of f...
