Growth response nitrogen metabolism of grafted cucumber fertilized with different ratios of nitrate: ammonium fertilizer

The use of an endemic plant as rootstock has many merits but its application for cucurbits production not been extensively investigated. present study determined the growth responses grafted cucumber using two rootstocks from Cucurbita pepo L. fertilized with different ratios nitrate (NO3-): ammonium (NH4+) fertilizer. A greenhouse was carried out (C. sativus ‘Dominos’) on accessions collected Babol and Isfahan control being ungrafted C. ‘Dominos’. Different NO3-/NH4+ follows: 100:0 (NO3− alone), 25/75, 50/50, 75/25 0/100 (NH4+ alone) were applied. It found that same physiology attributes. lower than ones, showed better or equal compared to rootstock. effect shoot root fresh dry weights, lengths, nodes, number leaves increased in ratio other treatments. Grafting N metabolism i.e., grafting reductase activity NO3- concentration 100/0. Protein content amino acids treated 50/50 NO3-/NH4+. response photosynthesis parameters observed rootstocks. In conclusion, result suggested ‘Dominos’ at gave high growth.
