Lattice quantum chromodynamics: Some topics

I review some topics in lattice quantum chromodynamics, focusing more on the recent results. These include: (i) the QCD phase diagram in the μ–T plane, (ii) the quark number susceptibilities, and (iii) the screening lengths.

Magnetic moments of light nuclei from lattice quantum chromodynamics.

We present the results of lattice QCD calculations of the magnetic moments of the lightest nuclei, the deuteron, the triton, and ^{3}He, along with those of the neutron and proton. These calculations, performed at quark masses corresponding to m_{π}∼800  MeV, reveal that the structure of these nuclei at unphysically heavy quark masses closely resembles that at the physical quark masses. Dynamical fermions in lattice quantum chromodynamics

The thesis will present results in Quantum Chromo Dynamics (QCD) with dynamical lattice fermions. The topological susceptibilty in QCD is determined, the calculations are carried out with dynamical overlap fermions. The most important properties of the quark-gluon plasma phase of QCD are studied, for which dynamical staggered fermions are used.
