Heavy quark spectroscopy and matrix elements: A lattice study using the static approximation.
We present results of a lattice analysis of the B parameter, BB, the decay constant fB, and several mass splittings using the static approximation. Results were obtained for 60 quenched gauge configurations computed at β = 6.2 on a lattice size of 243×48. Light quark propagators were calculated using the O(a)-improved SheikholeslamiWohlert action. We find Bstatic B (mb) = 0.69 +3 −4 (stat) +2 −...
متن کاملLattice Results for Heavy Light Matrix Elements
Lattice results for heavy light matrix elements are reviewed and some of their implications are very briefly discussed [1]. Despite the fact that in most cases the lattice results for weak matrix elements at the moment have only a modest accuracy of about 20–30% they already have important phenomenological repercussions; e.g. for Vtd/Vts, xs/xd and B → K ∗γ. I. As samples of “new” projects, I b...
متن کاملWeak Matrix Elements without Quark Masses on the Lattice
We introduce a new parameterization of four-fermion matrix elements which does not involve quark masses and thus allows a reduction of systematic uncertainties in physical amplitudes. As a result the apparent quadratic dependence of ǫ′/ǫ on ms(μ) is removed. To simplify the matching between lattice and continuum renormalization schemes, we express our results in terms of Renormalization Group I...

متن کاملLight quark masses and CKM matrix elements from lattice QCD
I give a brief overview of recent results from lattice QCD calculations which are relevant for the phenomenology of the Standard Model. I discuss, in particular, the lattice determination of light quark masses and the calculation of those hadronic quantities, such as semileptonic form factors, decay constants and B-parameters, which are of particular interest for the analysis of the CKM mixing ...
