Helical polynomial curves interpolating G1 data with prescribed axes and pitch angles
A helical curve, or curve of constant slope, offers a natural flight path for an aerial vehicle with a limited climb rate to achieve an increase in altitude between prescribed initial and final states. Every polynomial helical curve is a spatial Pythagorean–hodograph (PH) curve, and the distinctive features of the PH curves have attracted growing interest in their use for Unmanned Aerial Vehicl...
متن کاملModelling Dispersion Characteristics of Circular Optical Waveguide with Helical Winding– Comparison for Different Pitch Angles
In this Article dispersion characteristic of conventional optical waveguide with helical winding at core – cladding interface has been obtained. The model dispersion characteristics of optical waveguide with helical winding at core-cladding interface have been obtained for five different pitch angles. This paper includes dispersion characteristics of optical waveguide with helical winding, and ...
متن کاملInterpolating polynomial wavelets on [-1, 1]
In the present paper polynomial interpolating scaling function and wavelets are constructed by using the interpolation properties of de la Vallée Poussin kernels with respect to the four kinds of Chebyshev weights. For the decomposition and reconstruction of a given function efficient algorithms based on fast discrete cosine and sine transforms are proposed.
متن کاملShapes of Tetrahedra with Prescribed Cone Angles
Given real numbers 4π > θ0 ≥ θ1 ≥ θ2 ≥ θ3 > 0 so that ∑3 j=0 θj = 4π, we provide a detailed description of the space of flat metrics on the 2-sphere with 4 conical points of cone angles θ0, θ1, θ2, θ3, endowed with a geometric structure arising from the area function.
متن کاملA characterization of helical polynomial curves of any degree
We give a full characterization of helical polynomial curves of any degree and a simple way to construct them. Existing results about Hermite interpolation are revisited. A simple method to select the best quintic interpolant among all possible solutions is suggested.
