Hepatic transcriptome perturbations in dairy cows fed different forage resources

چکیده

Abstract Background Forage plays critical roles in milk performance of dairy. However, domestic high-quality forage such as alfalfa hay is far from being sufficient China. Thus, more than 1 million tons were imported China annually recent years. At the same time, 10 corn stover are generated taking full advantage to meet demand and reduce dependence on has been a strategic policy for Chinese dairy industry. Changes liver metabolism under different resources not well known. objective present study was investigate effect using RNAseq bioinformatics analyses. Results The results this showed that cows fed diet with (CS) main had lower yield, DMI, protein content fat lactose yield mixed (MF) ( P < 0.01). KEGG analysis differently expressed genes (DEG) (81 up-regulated 423 down-DEG, Padj ?0.05) pathways associated glycan biosynthesis amino acid inhibited by CS diet. In addition, DAVID ClueGO indicated biological processes related cell-cell adhesion, multicellular organism growth, also downregulated feeding CS. Co-expression network FAM210A , SLC26A6 FBXW5 EIF6 ZSCAN10 FPGS ARMCX2 played network. Bioinformatics within co-expression enriched “pyruvate metabolic process”, “complement activation, classical pathway”, “retrograde transport, endosome Golgi”. Conclusions low-quality inhibits important functions at least part due reduction DMI. provide an insight into response different-quality resources. As such, data can help develop favorable strategies improve utilization

Performance of lactating dairy cows fed alfalfa or red clover silage as the sole forage.

Three Latin square trials, with 20 (two trials) or 24 (one trial) multiparous lactating Holstein cows (four in each trial with ruminal cannulae), compared the feeding value of red clover and alfalfa silages harvested over 3 yr. Overall, the forages contained similar amounts of neutral detergent fiber and acid detergent fiber; however, red clover silage contained more hemicellulose, less ash and...

Performance of lactating dairy cows fed macerated forage conserved as silage and hay

Suwarno, Wittenberg, K. M., Ingalls, J. R. and McCaughey, W. P. 2000. Performance of lactating dairy cows fed macerated forage conserved as silage and hay. Can. J. Anim. Sci. 80: 123–129. The effect of forage maceration at harvest on silage characteristics and its effect on lactation performance of Holstein cows were determined. Either a roller conditioner or a prototype forage macerator manufa...

Performance of lactating dairy cows fed either alfalfa silage or alfalfa hay as the sole forage.

Alfalfa was harvested from alternate windrows as 40% DM silage or hay in small rectangular bales and fed in two 12-wk 4 x 4 Latin square trials, each with 20 multiparous lactating cows (4 with ruminal cannulas). Diets contained (DM basis) 69 (trial 1) or 66% (trial 2) alfalfa, 26 to 33% high moisture corn, 1.3% minerals and vitamins, and about 1.6 Mcal of NEL/kg of DM. In trial 1, second-cuttin...

Lameness in dairy Cows

This paper intended to review the lameness in dairy cattle. But it was necessary to have an overview about the hoof anatomical structure, it's growth and overgrowth properties. Most common causes of lameness such as laminitis and its different clinical form or presentation such as sole ulcers, toe ulcers, white line disorders, sole and white linehemorrhages have been reviewed and discussed. ...
