Heterogeneous Spatial Quality for Omnidirectional Video

چکیده

Heterogeneous spatial quality in 360-degree videos is characterized by regions of high and low appearing the same video chunk. Encoding quality-varying omnidirectional enables bandwidth waste optimization without compromising inside client's viewport. has been implemented using either concept tiling or Facebook's offset projection. In this paper, we study preparation heterogeneous with three main contributions. We propose two novel approaches that prepare versions a based on decomposition techniques: Gaussian pyramid Laplace pyramid. also introduce spherical filter for which allows to further reduce bit-rate exploring properties videos. compare performance proposed methods projection representative scenarios highlight key trade-off between consider when implementing these approaches.
