چکیده

Abstract Ferrocene or ferrocenium has been widely studied in the field of organometallic complexes because its stable thermodynamic, kinetic and redox properties. Novel hexaferrocenium tri[hexa(isothiocyanato)iron(III)]trihydroxonium (HexaFc) complex was product from reaction ferrocene, maleic acid ammonium thiocyanate confirmed by elemental analysis CHNS, FTIR single crystal X-ray crystallography. In this study, HexaFc used for first time as an electroactive indicator porcine DNA biosensor. The UV–Vis titrations with compound showed hypochromism redshift at 250 nm increasing concentrations. binding constant (K b ) towards CT-DNA (calf-thymus DNA) 3.1 × 10 4 M ?1 , indicated intercalator behaviour complex. To test usefulness biosensor application, a constructed. recognition probes were covalently immobilised onto silica nanospheres (SiNSs) via glutaraldehyde linker on screen-printed electrode (SPE). After intercalation complex, response to complementary measured using differential pulse voltammetry. demonstrated linear range 1 ?6 ?3 µM (R 2 = 0.9642) limit detection 4.83 ?8 up 23 days storage °C 86% initial response. results that is feasible hybridisation without use chemical label DNA.

Electrochemical uranyl biosensor with DNA oligonucleotides as receptor layer

The feasibility of using gold electrodes modified with short-chain ssDNA oligonucleotides for determination of uranyl cation is examined. Interaction between UO(2)(2+) and proposed recognition layer was studied by means of voltammetric and quartz crystal microbalance measurements. It was postulated that ssDNA recognition layer functions via strong binding of UO(2)(2+) to phosphate DNA backbone....

Recent trends in electrochemical DNA biosensor technology

Recent trends and challenges in the electrochemical methods for the detection of DNA hybridization are reviewed. Electrochemistry has superior properties over the other existing measurement systems, because electrochemical biosensors can provide rapid, simple and low-cost on-field detection. Electrochemical measurement protocols are also suitable for mass fabrication of miniaturized devices. El...

Voltammetric behavior of benznidazole at a DNA-electrochemical biosensor.

Benznidazole is a drug used commonly as a therapeutic agent against Chagas' disease in Brazil. To clarify the cytotoxic action of benznidazole the electrochemical reduction of benznidazole has been investigated using a DNA-electrochemical biosensor, prepared by modification of a glassy carbon electrode with DNA, and the results compared with reduction at a bare glassy carbon electrode. The depe...
